Family Fun at the Park

Children's Adventure Playground
Knowle Park is home to a large, thoughtfully designed outdoor play area that encourages exploration, creativity, and confidence. The space is divided to suit different ages, with a smaller, safer area for younger children and a larger zone designed for children aged 7 and over.
Children can enjoy winding pathways, gentle hills and bridges, climbing structures, log stacks, swings and teepees, all designed to blend naturally into the surrounding landscape. The playground invites imaginative play as well as physical activity, offering plenty of opportunities to explore, balance, build, and discover!
All play equipment is environmentally sustainable and fully approved by ROSPA, ensuring the highest standards of safety while staying true to the park’s commitment to nature.
Beyond the playground, families can explore over 60 acres of open parkland, including rolling hills, open fields, winding paths, wildflower meadows and peaceful lakeside walks, perfect for picnics, adventures, and time spent outdoors together.
Free Trails

Every school holiday, we invite families to take part in our free children’s trails around the park, a fun and engaging way to explore Knowle Park together.
Trail leaflets can be picked up from the kiosks or the nearby notice board. Follow the route through the park, completing the activities and challenges as you go, and discovering more about the landscape along the way.
Once you’ve finished, return your completed leaflet to the kiosks to collect a small prize. These trails are completely free, though we warmly welcome donations to help us continue offering these activities for everyone.
