Regular Volunteering Sessions

When and Where.

We hold regular volunteer sessions at:

- Tuesdays: 9.30am

- Thursdays: 9.30am

- Saturdays: 1pm

We meet by the Heartwork Coffee kiosk before heading into the park for around 90 minutes of practical work. Once we’re finished, we return for a well-deserved coffee and cake (optional, but highly recommended!).

Tasks include:

-General grounds maintenance (such as litter picking, weeding, pruning, and tidying)

-Ecology work (like planting, wildlife monitoring, guided walks, and hedge care)

-Supporting park events (helping with set-up, stewarding, and welcoming visitors)

We also hold occasional special volunteer days to tackle more significant projects, such as planting our new community orchard or creating new habitats for wildlife.

We are a ‘Drop In Any Time’ Team

We totally understand that some of us have plenty of free time and some of us have very little. So please feel free to fit in volunteer sessions around your other commitments.

There are lots of ways to help
Our volunteers take on a wide range of activities all year round.

All tools and instructions are provided, and each session is supervised by a trustee or park ranger.

After you’ve attended your first session, we’ll add you to our volunteer WhatsApp group. This keeps you up to date with tasks and reminders about upcoming sessions.

We welcome volunteers of all abilities and ages, and are proud to have an intergenerational team, including volunteers aged 80 and above!

If it’s your first session, just turn up and introduce yourself! We’re a friendly bunch!
